• VIDEO: How to Warm Up for Your Golf Game

I love this time of year: picnics, long evening walks after dinner, sangria and more outdoor activities.  I want to help you avoid injury as you partake in more summer time fun.  This stretching video is the first in a series to assist you in preparing your body before summer activities.

    Please be aware that the video is only 2 minutes.  I suggest that you take at least 10 minutes to warm up before playing a full game of golf.  I have presented a few ideas in the video but feel free to do more as your body needs.  You never know, it may even help your handicap.

    Summer is such a great time of year to enjoy the outdoors.  The last thing you need is to be nursing an injury and having to take it easy.  So, warm up properly and take time to cool down.

    Again this year I am participating in the Ride To Conquer Cancer.    Seeing so many yellow flags which indicate cancer survivors scattered amongst the thousands peddling towards Seattle filled me with joy and respect.

    At the end of last years ride I made the commitment to ride one more time.

  • Recipe: Raw Coconut Ceviche

    This recipe is the perfect summertime appetizer! Try it with tortilla chips or even on its own.




    Coconut Ceviche:
    -1 young coconut
    -2 Tbs red onion
    -1 chilli (try red Thai chili if you like it hot or a jalapeno)
    -Handful of cilantro
    -1/4 cup diced cucumber
    -1/4 cup diced tomatoes
    -Juice of a fresh lime

    1. Crack open the coconut and drink the coconut water inside (very important 🙂 )
    2. Scoop out the coconut “meat” from inside and chop it up into small pieces.
    3. Combine coconut with the rest of the ingredients and refrigerate for an hour or two.
    4. Enjoy with tortilla chips or on top of tacos!
